Our client, an exclusive luxury boutique hotel on the KwaZulu-Natal North Coast, is seeking a hands-on Assistant General Manager to support overall operations and uphold their standard of barefoot elegance. Competitive monthly salary of R25,000 – R30,000, plus benefits, for the right candidate.

As Assistant General Manager, you will be a key operational partner to the General Manager, ensuring seamless performance across all departments—front office, F&B, housekeeping, guest services, and wellness. You’ll help lead by example in guest relations, quality standard enforcement, and team motivation, always maintaining the hotel’s intimate and luxury service ethos.

Your role will include daily oversight of operations, stepping into departmental duties when needed, managing staff training, assisting with budget oversight and cost control, monitoring service delivery, and ensuring that guest feedback is handled promptly and professionally. You will also be involved in creating work schedules, implementing service standards, and ensuring that every guest’s stay is personalised and memorable.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with leadership experience in boutique or luxury hotels who is ready to grow into a senior operations role.

• 3-5 years’ experience in hospitality management, preferably in boutique or luxury properties
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• Financial understanding: ability to assist with budgets, cost control, and reporting
• Guest-centric mindset and ability to maintain high service standards
• Hands-on, flexible, able to work shifts, weekends, public holidays
• Professional presentation and excellent interpersonal skills
