Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality dishes.
  • Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to menu planning and development, bringing innovative and creative ideas to the table.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene, and health standards at all times.
  • Manage inventory and procurement to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Monitor kitchen costs and assist in budget control to achieve financial targets.
  • Lead by example in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar leadership role within a professional kitchen.
  • Culinary qualification from a recognized institution is highly advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, menu planning, and kitchen equipment.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
  • Commitment to upholding food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
