Introduction

We are seeking an experienced and driven Rooms Division Manager to join our hotel in Umhlanga. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all rooms division operations, ensuring exceptional guest service, operational efficiency, and the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate Front Office, Housekeeping, and Guest Services

  • Ensure outstanding guest experience and service delivery standards

  • Oversee room inventory, occupancy, and daily operations

  • Implement and monitor SOPs, quality standards, and health & safety compliance

  • Manage budgets, cost controls, and departmental performance

  • Lead, train, and motivate teams to achieve service and operational targets

  • Handle guest feedback, complaints, and service recovery effectively

  • Work closely with the General Manager and other department heads

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum Requirements

  • Relevant hospitality qualification

  • 5+ years’ experience in hotel operations, with at least 3 years in a management role

  • Strong background in Front Office and Housekeeping

  • Experience with hotel PMS systems

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including weekends and public holidays
