Immediate Supervisor:  Housekeeping or Night Supervisor/Director of Housekeeping

Job Summary:

To maintain a high quality of cleanliness and operational efficiency throughout the resort’s public areas, parking lots and other areas as needed.  Must approach all tasks with the use of proper tools and PPE with safety of guest, associates and self is paramount at all times.  As part of the housekeeping team additional tasks may be needed to assist others in the department.

 

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Sweep and mop lobby at least daily/hallways in all three buildings as needed
  • Keep Courtyard and other public areas clean and orderly
  • Clean handrails and corridor railings as necessary
  • Clean pool gates and fencing weekly and as needed
  • Clean Elevators inside and out daily and as needed (including tracks)
  • Deliver amenities and other items to guest rooms as directed
  • Inspect and clean basement cafeteria as needed
  • Clean Lobby & Pool bathrooms daily and as needed
  • Remove debris and trash from driveway and other areas as needed
  • Empty trashcans in public areas as needed
  • Clean window glasses as needed or directed  
  • Inform manager or supervisor of any maintenance items needing attention
  • Complete all items on Public Areas check list
  • Other tasks as identified by manager or supervisor
  • Exemplify the Dolphin Hotels Standards of Excellence.

 

Necessary Skills and Attributes:

  • Ability to follow directions as well as being self-motivated to complete tasks
  • Ability to communicate basic hospitality greetings and safety concerns with guests, co-workers and supervisor.
  • Adaptability and Team Spirt

Qualifications

Education:

High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.

Basic Mathematic knowledge.

The ability to read, write and speak fluent English.

Knowledge of cleaning materials and required tools

Bilingual preferred.

 

Experience:

Stable job history

 

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, bend, reach above the head, use hands & fingers, feel objects & tools, climb ladders up to 6 feet, lift objects up to 50 pounds, talk, hear and have vision in order to read labels and directions.  The primary work area for this job is both indoors and outdoors and employee will be exposed to heat, cold and sometimes rain.
