The Opportunity: The Houseman promotes a positive image of the property by ensuring impeccable cleanliness and upkeep of all homes, public areas, and Club outlets. This role supports the housekeeping team by handling specialized cleaning tasks, assisting with guest requests, and maintaining storage and equipment areas to the highest standards.

Duties and Functions

  • Ensure patios and windows are cleaned prior to Member and Guest arrivals.
  • Clean grills prior to arrivals, post-stay, and store them inside cottages following departures.
  • Enter and prepare rooms for cleaning.
  • Identify and tag Owners’ personal linen/terry for laundering and return to homes.
  • Deliver and retrieve guest loan items (cribs, pack ‘n plays, high chairs, etc.).
  • Perform rotation cleaning duties (e.g., carpet steam cleaning, spring cleaning) as required.
  • Ensure ramps are always cleaned and free of trash.
  • Remove garbage daily from housekeeping laundry areas.
  • Clean and polish washers and dryers daily.
  • Clean ceiling fans and high ledges in homes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas, ensuring daily stocking of materials for Room Attendants.
  • Clean all public area windows and patios.

Qualification Standards

  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 60 lbs.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces.
  • Ability to tolerate exposure to dust and cleaning chemicals.
  • Ability to climb ladders to reach high areas.
  • Strong ability to listen, follow instructions, and work unsupervised.
  • Clear communication skills, both verbal and interpersonal.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Demonstrates integrity, honesty, and a positive attitude toward Members, Guests, and fellow Employees.
  • Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks.
  • Ability to follow and adhere to standards, policies, and procedures.
