Front Office Manager | Luxury Hotel | Durban

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a highly experienced Front Office Manager to join a prestigious luxury hotel in Durban. This is a senior management role requiring strong leadership, operational expertise, and a proven background in managing large front office teams within a busy hospitality environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all front office operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.

  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of 25–30 staff members.

  • Maintain high levels of guest satisfaction through exceptional service and attention to detail.

  • Implement and uphold front office policies, procedures, and service standards.

  • Ensure effective staff scheduling, training, and performance management.

  • Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.

  • Manage budgets, forecasting, and departmental cost controls.

  • Handle guest feedback, complaints, and special requests with professionalism and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Front Office Manager in a busy hotel.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire large teams.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Previous experience in luxury hotel environments is highly advantageous.

  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

  • Financial acumen with experience in budgeting and cost management.

  • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining service excellence.
