Job Purpose:
A hotel front desk manager's at the Towneplace Suites in Las Cruces, New Mexico primary purpose is supervising staff, managing reservations, handling guest inquiries and complaints, and maintaining a smooth flow of daily operations. Essentially, they are responsible for the first and last impressions guests have of the hotel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the operation of the Front Desk/Guest Services is conducted in an attentive, friendly, efficient, and courteous manner.
- Provide all guests with quality service prior to and throughout their stay.
- Maximize room revenue and occupancy.
- Oversee and train front desk staff to deliver excellent customer service.
- Handle guest requests and complaints efficiently, maintaining a professional image.
- Manage reservations and ensure accurate and timely processing.
- Maintain a smooth flow of daily operations, ensuring all procedures are followed.
- Supervise staff, delegate tasks, and oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency.
- Utilize hotel management software effectively to support operations.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and industry practices.
- Maintain excellent organizational skills, including prioritizing tasks and time management.
- Communicate effectively with guests and team members to handle inquiries and resolve issues.
- Foster a positive work environment and encourage teamwork among staff.
Required Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred Education:
- College course work in related field helpful.
Required Experience:
- Experience in a supervisory or leadership role to demonstrate the ability to manage a team, delegate tasks, and oversee daily operations.
- Familiarity with hotel management software.
Preferred Experience:
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of hotel policies, procedures, and industry practices for effective management.
