Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and passionate Community Projects Manager to join a prestigious luxury wine estate based in Franschhoek. This is a unique opportunity for an individual who is driven by social development, staff upliftment, and community wellbeing to make a real difference within a dynamic and purpose-led environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for spearheading internal community-building strategies, developing meaningful wellbeing programmes, and leading impactful upliftment initiatives. This role requires an empathetic and proactive leader with a talent for engaging people and building inclusive communities.

Requirements:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification would be advantageous

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in community management, staff wellbeing, or a similar people-centred role

  • Demonstrated success in planning and implementing upliftment and wellness initiatives

  • Fluent in Afrikaans and English, both written and spoken

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Creative, self-motivated, and passionate about community development and wellbeing

  • Strong organisational and project management skills

  • Empathetic, inclusive, and positive approach to people and team dynamics

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage strategic community engagement initiatives within the organisation

  • Coordinate and implement wellness programmes, mental health campaigns, and staff support activities

  • Lead various upliftment projects, including volunteering, mentoring, and social impact campaigns

  • Organise and facilitate events for both employees and the estate’s Aftercare Centre

  • Create and promote awareness campaigns that support community development goals

  • Collect, monitor, and evaluate feedback and participation data to optimise programme effectiveness

  • Foster a culture of inclusivity, engagement, and wellbeing across all departments
