Communications Manager -5-Star Hotel-Durban

Are you a strategic communicator with a passion for the dynamic world of hospitality? We are seeking a talented Communications Manager to join our client's leading hospitality brand in Durban. In this pivotal role, you will be the guardian of the brand's voice, crafting compelling narratives and building a strong reputation in a fast-paced environment.

• Strategy & Brand Management: Assist in developing the overall communications strategy and take ownership of its implementation through PR and design elements.
• Content & Messaging: Ensure all external and internal communications are consistent, on-brand, and effectively convey our key messages.
• Media Relations & Publicity: Proactively seek and manage media opportunities to enhance brand visibility and reputation.
• Analytical Performance: Develop media plans, track KPIs, report on ROI, and conduct competitor analyses to continuously evaluate and optimize the media mix (ATL/BTL).
• Business Acumen: Apply excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills to navigate complex situations and manage communications budgets effectively.
• Collaboration & Delivery: Work both independently and as part of a dynamic team to consistently deliver high-quality work with precision.

• Matric certificate.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a communications role, preferably in a managerial capacity.
• Strong background in media relations, content creation, and crisis management.
• In-depth knowledge of brand management, business communication, and budget management.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
