Introduction

A well known Hospitality Group is seeking a Bookkeeper to join their team in Cape Town.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Maintain accurate day-to-day financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.

  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are correctly recorded.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports up to the Balance Sheet.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant tax and statutory obligations.

  • Manage supplier and customer accounts, ensuring timely invoicing and payments.

  • Track and record all expenses and revenue for accurate reporting.

  • Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting.

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and hospitality-specific financial procedures.

  • Support audits by preparing required financial documentation and reconciliations.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Applicants must have a minimum of :

  • 5 Years bookkeeping/accounting experience in a commercial environment

  • Pastel and/or Xero Accounting software knowledge

  • Bookkeeping function to Balance Sheet as a minimum

  • Preference will be given to those candidates who have worked in a hospitality environment.
