A well known Hospitality Group is seeking a Bookkeeper to join their team in Cape Town.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Maintain accurate day-to-day financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are correctly recorded.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports up to the Balance Sheet.
Ensure compliance with relevant tax and statutory obligations.
Manage supplier and customer accounts, ensuring timely invoicing and payments.
Track and record all expenses and revenue for accurate reporting.
Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and hospitality-specific financial procedures.
Support audits by preparing required financial documentation and reconciliations.
Applicants must have a minimum of :
5 Years bookkeeping/accounting experience in a commercial environment
Pastel and/or Xero Accounting software knowledge
Bookkeeping function to Balance Sheet as a minimum
Preference will be given to those candidates who have worked in a hospitality environment.
