THIS IS A FULL-TIME, SEASONAL POSITION FOR THE SUMMER 2025 SEASON (APRIL THROUGH THE EARLY NOVEMBER)

Mission Point Resort, Mackinac Islands' only full service, casual resort is currently seeking candidates to fill the position of Bicycle Mechanic. This full time/seasonal position is located on Mackinac Island and offers competitive pay, housing, other perks. The ideal applicant will be mechanically inclined, active and enjoy the outdoors with a passion for bicycles, possess an upbeat leadership style, and have experience working in a multi-cultural environment.

POSITION SUMMARY

The primary role of the Bicycle Mechanic is to ensure the bicycle fleet for the recreation department is in good working order and safe for our guests to operate on a day to day basis.

Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School or equivalent education with experience with bicycle repair and maintenance
  • 1 year experience in bicycle repair roll or equivalent field
  • Ability to follow detailed and specific procedures and processes in completing department and/or project tasks
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace
  • Explain safety procedures and demonstrate use of equipment to guests if needed
  • Be an enthusiastic, helpful and positive member of the team
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
