Position : Wine Director / Sommelier
Job Overview : Reports to : Assistant Director of Food & Beverage / Director of Venues Standard Specifications :
Manage Wine program in an efficient and professional manner to ensure quality service to guests. Wine Sales, monitor operation profitability while ensuring all employees maintain Five Star/Five Diamond customer service standards. Interact with other Food and Beverage managers and other Department Heads to help outlet operations proceed smoothly. Qualifications – Essential :
• Minimum three years experience in a high quality Hotel Beverage Department.
• Sommelier certification
• Three-year prior inventory/cost control experience.
• Knowledge of cash registers and other front of the house equipment. Computer skills helpful.
• Good people skills and a well-groomed appearance.
Qualifications - Desirable :
Experience in luxury properties, specifically in restaurant and pool operations.
Skills – Essential : Qualifications:
• Ability to create and manage an extensive list of wine
• Wine Sales skills
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Job Functions:
• Program creation and management
• Inventory management
• Floor Sales
• Continually monitor all daily sales, ordering, par levels and costs for outlets.
• Create, monitor and implement action plans to maximize revenue.
• Control ordering and expenses based on business levels.
• Maintain accurate paperwork for inventory levels, scheduling, payroll and employee records. • Maintain par levels for each beverage outlet.
• Develop and implement training itineraries and programs.
• Activations and events relating to wines
• Have working knowledge of P.O.S. (Infogenesis) system and bar systems.
