The President Hotel is entering an exciting phase of growth and transformation, and we are creating new opportunities for Waitrons to join our Food & Beverage team. These are newly created roles, part of our journey forward as we expand and elevate our service.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for service-driven professionals with passion, energy, and a genuine love for people. The ideal Waitron will have:

• A valid South African ID or work permit
• At least 2 years’ recent experience in a hotel or upmarket restaurant
• A Matric certificate (Grade 12)
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards
• A polished appearance, reliability, and punctuality
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to stay calm and confident in a busy environment
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
• A team spirit and a guest-first mindset

What You’ll Do

• Be the face of hospitality by welcoming guests with warmth and professionalism
• Guide guests through menus, recommend specials, and create dining experiences tailored to their needs
• Deliver food and drinks with attention to detail, ensuring every plate and pour is perfect
• Keep the dining space looking as polished and inviting as the service you provide
• Anticipate guest needs before they ask, and handle queries with genuine care and confidence
• Create opportunities to delight by upselling dishes, wines, and experiences that elevate their visit
• Support your team in high-energy moments, keeping the rhythm of service smooth and seamless
• Uphold the highest hygiene, safety, and service standards so every guest feels at ease
