The Food and Beverage department currently seek an enthusiastic Waiter / Waitress to join its friendly and fast pace environment.
As Waiter / Waitress you will be a guest orientated sales person with great attention to detail, you will serve food and beverages to guests and prepare the outlet in accordance with The Red Carnation Hotel Collection and Leading Hotels of the World standards
Key responsibilities of the Waiter / Waitress will include:
• Maximising revenue generating opportunities
• Ensuring that mise en place is completed
• Providing service to guests in accordance with outlet service journey and company service culture
• Handling operating equipment in accordance with company standards ensuring minimal breakages
• Ensuring that all revenue is accounted for by practicing the “swipe before you serve” principle for all transactions
The ideal candidate for the Waiter / Waitress should:
• Have Grade 12 Certificate
• Have at least 2 years’ experience in a fine dining restaurant; or upmarket cocktail bar; or 4/5* Hotel Outlet
• Have had exposure to a Point of Sales System (Micros - advantageous)
• Have a good command of the English Language with solid knowledge of hospitality vocabulary
• Be highly presentable
• Be able to work flexible hours, weekends and holidays
