Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Traffic Controller at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure smooth traffic flow, manage vehicle drop-offs and pick-ups, and maintain a clear porte for guests, staff, and service vehicles. The ideal candidate will be able to handle high-traffic situations, maintain orderliness, and ensure that our guests have a seamless experience from arrival to departure.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Traffic Management: Direct and control the flow of vehicles entering and exiting the porte, ensuring safe and efficient traffic movement.
  • Drop-off Coordination: Oversee vehicle drop-offs, ensuring that guests are dropped off quickly and safely without congestion.
  • Communication: Coordinate with valet staff, security, and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Maintain Clear Porte: Ensure that the porte area remains clear of obstructions and vehicles, allowing for smooth access for all users.
  • Handling Traffic Violations: Report any unauthorized vehicles or illegal parking to security or appropriate authorities.
  • Weather Adaptability: Work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining composure and professionalism.

 

Qualifications

  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, walk long distances, and maintain focus throughout shifts.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Must be able to give clear instructions to drivers, guests, and team members.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Ability to think quickly and address issues, such as vehicle congestion, traffic delays, or guest concerns.
  • Customer Service Mindset: Courteous, approachable, and able to stay calm and professional under pressure.
  • Attention to Detail: Keep track of vehicles, guests, and potential hazards, ensuring a safe and smooth environment at all times.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate the casino’s 24/7 operation.
  • Team Player: Ability to collaborate with security, valet, and other staff to ensure the best possible guest experience.
