THE JOB:
As a Barista at Starbucks within the lively New York New York Hotel & Casino, you'll be at the heart of Las Vegas, setting the stage for an unforgettable guest experience fueled by the rich aroma of coffee and the vibrant energy of the Strip. With your warm smile and attentive service, you’ll connect with guests, learn their unique stories, and elevate their caffeine cravings into delightful moments. By taking ownership of their experience, you’ll create WOW memories that keep them energized long after their visit.
THE STARTING RATE: $19.9781 hourly
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Take and place order, and serve and garnish food and drinks efficiently and accurately in work area as applicable
Collect money, while following all proper cash handling and comp procedures
Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and the appearance of the front and back of house, clear tables and counters; sweep and maintain the cleanliness of the dining area without interfering with the comfort of guests
Pack and complete order as per guests' preference with any necessary condiments
Properly label and date products per safety and sanitation procedures
Perform opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment
Unload warehouse orders and stock the orders to designated storage maintaining organization, stock and replenish products as needed in workstation, counters, tables, etc.
Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise, refer the matter to management, notify supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
1+ Years of prior relevant experience as a food handler in a high-volume, fast paced environment
Previous experience working in a similar resort setting
Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
