Security Guard - Hotel

• Patrols assigned areas at regular intervals to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows and gates.
• Answer alarms and investigate disturbances or unusual incidents or occurrences, suspicious persons and employees who may be in unauthorized areas.
• Answers and screens telephone calls, records and relays messages correctly and in a timely manner.
• Maintains inventory of office supplies and beverages and requisitions when necessary.  Receives, confirms and signs for delivered items.
• Identifies and reports safety hazards, following up to ensure they are eliminated.
• Escorts as necessary, cashiers or other persons involved in the movement of funds and other valuables on property.
• Administers the check-in offices as assigned, assisting in and monitoring the punching in and out of employees arriving and departing the property. Checks employee bags and containers, identifying and reporting any company property discovered.
• Controls and inspects all vehicles entering and exiting the various loading docks and restricted areas, including employees of contracted firms and providing escorts as necessary.
• Provides crowd control in public areas and entrances to places of entertainment as assigned.
• Maintains strict surveillance in public areas to identify undesirable patrons and, if necessary, removing such persons inconspicuously.
• Investigates all guest and employee complaints, providing written reports upon completion.
• Detains persons involved in illegal acts on property, pending notification of local authorities and prepares reports regarding such incidents.
• Logs incidents or unusual occurrences clearly, factually and legibly.
• Performs other reasonable duties that may be requested from time to time.
• The Company operates a twenty-four (24), hour, seven (7) days a week business. Therefore, it may be necessary to change the accustomed shifts, at times, as the business demands.

Required Qualifications                               

• High School diploma or equivalent 
• The ability to provide exceptional customer service during the execution duties
• Valid driver’s license a plus
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Extensive knowledge of the English language (reading, spelling and punctuation).
• Able to work various shifts
• Able to meet the physical demands of the job, which includes standing for long periods of time as needed
