Seeking an innovative Sales Representative who will need to acquire new customers.
Generating Leads: Actively seek out new sales opportunities through various means such as cold calling, networking, and leveraging existing contacts.
• Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships by understanding their needs, addressing concerns, and providing appropriate solutions.
• Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of the products or services offered, including features, benefits, and competitive advantages, to effectively communicate with potential customers.
• Sales Presentations: Conduct compelling product presentations and demonstrations to potential customers, highlighting key features tailored to their specific needs.
• Negotiation and Closing: Negotiate terms and close sales deals to meet or exceed sales targets and quotas, while ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Forecasting and Reporting: Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to management, detailing sales activity, pipeline status, and market trends.
• Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify new business opportunities and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
• Customer Service: Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, concerns, and support issues, ensuring timely resolution and a positive customer experience as well as do periodical check-ins with existing customers to ensure they are happy with the goods provided and there are no issues with the stock.
• Stock reporting: send weekly stock takes of samples on hand and current stock holding in the office/warehouse.
• Inventory management: follow a FIFO inventory management system and report weekly to quality manager on any stock nearing expiry as per quality SOP regarding best before/sell by dates.
• Uphold company lead time policy: Deliver customer orders while ensuring to the best of your ability that customers receive products within the provided lead times given. 1-2 days for Gauteng, Mpumalanga and the Western Cape, 3-7 days for any area outside these regions in the country.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing and product development to align sales efforts with overall business objectives.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated on product knowledge, sales techniques, and industry best practices through ongoing training, seminars, and professional development opportunities.
• Sampling, Demonstrations and Promotions: Conduct product demonstrations and sampling sessions at trade shows, food expos, and customer locations to showcase the quality and taste of the company's food products.
• Weekly in-store promotions: schedule in-store promotions with current stockists every Saturday.
• Update customer database on a weekly basis with new leads and customers.
