S&L Hospitality is currently accepting resumes for a Hotel Sales Manager. 

The Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, handling RFPs and third-party leads, managing group and event bookings, and ensuring exceptional client satisfaction from inquiry through post-event follow-up. Ideal candidates have the ability to work with a team and under little supervision, the availability to meet the demands of the position (which may include evenings and occasional weekends or holidays), exceptional communication skills, are detail orientated and the ability to remain calm and professional. 

 

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Respond promptly to all RFPs, third-party leads, and phone inquiries.

  • Conduct outside sales calls, cold calls, and client visits three days weekly.

  • Develop business from corporate, government, association, social, and SMERF segments (including sports and religious groups).

  • Manage group room blocks, meeting events, contracts, and billing details.

  • Attend weekly BEO/resume meetings and ensure flawless event execution.

  • Maintain and grow LNR (Locally Negotiated Rate) and extended-stay business.

  • Submit weekly and monthly sales reports and participate in sales meetings.

  • Collaborate with the General Manager and S&L Hospitality Corporate Sales Team on strategies and performance goals.

  • Maintain an active presence in the community through chamber events, tourism bureaus, and tradeshows.

  • Support social media marketing and promotional initiatives with S&L Hospitality’s marketing team.

  • Occasionally assist at the front desk to stay engaged with guest interactions and business demand.

 

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of hotel sales experience preferred (limited or full-service).

  • Strong understanding of corporate, government, and group markets.

  • Proficiency in hotel systems and third-party platforms.

  • Excellent communication, organization, and presentation skills.

  • Self-motivated, community-oriented, and goal-driven with a proactive sales mindset.

 

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and walk throughout the property.

  • Occasionally lift or carry up to 25 lbs (sales materials, event supplies, etc.).

  • Flexible to work evenings, weekends, or holidays based on business needs.

  • Local travel required for sales calls, community involvement, and tradeshows.

  • Professional appearance and demeanor consistent with brand standards.
