PURPOSE

  

Ensure adequate controls exist through accurate, timely and complete audits of revenue/cost centers. Reconcile assigned revenue/cost center paperwork to ensure that proper department polices, internal controls, NIGC regulations, state compact and IRS regulations are followed. Provide leadership support to the department.


SUPERVISORY SCOPE

  • Revenue Auditors (I, II & III)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide accurate, timely and complete audits of the revenue/cost centers, including:
  1. Supervision and technical knowledge in all audit areas
  2. Ensure that adequate and accurate supporting documentation exists for all transactions and investigations
  3. Learn all procedures, regulations and computer processes pertaining to the various audits as assigned
  4. Distribute Daily Reports (DOR) to the executive team
  5. Distribute daily work assignments
  6. Support team by taking on Revenue Auditor duties in the event of staffing deficiencies
  • Provide accurate and appropriate accounting for general ledger reporting.
  • Reconcile, balance and identify/resolve variances within general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Report questionable matters and violations of established internal controls and policies & procedures to management.
  • Document, resolve and monitor follow-up on these and other issues in a timely manner
  • Hold team meetings, provide task direction, conduct team member evaluations and performance management meetings to support professional growth and assist the team in achieving accuracy and efficiency goals
  • Encourage and foster a team-oriented culture of compliance
  • Establish and nurture open lines of communication between Audit and fellow departments
  • Maintain updated Revenue Audit Department policies and procedures
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements

Education and Experience:

  

  • High School Diploma / GED; Recognized Equivalent of a High School Diploma (RED) or Foreign High School Diploma (FHD)
  • Minimum two (2) year business/accounting degree or four (4) years of work experience in accounting, finance or auditing; or a combination of accounting education and accounting, finance or auditing work experience that totals four (4) years


Skills and Abilities:

  • Comfortable with asking questions and investigating issues or concerns
  • Office skills, strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel to include, but not limited to, formulas, tabs, v-lookups, spreadsheets, and importing/exporting data
  • Ability to maintain organization, and possess integrity and discretion in handling confidential information
  • Ability to be a team player
  • Ability to solve practical problems and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
  • Ability to complete any Food, Beverage, Retail, W2G, Jackpot, Table Games, Poker, Cage, Slot, or Marketing Audit within given time standards
  • Ability to read and interpret reports and documents
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be able to comprehend Federal and State regulations
  • Ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts including late nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to pass Entry Level Accounting, and 10 Key Calculator Tests
  • Able to identify when assistance is needed and comfortable asking for help

  

PREFERRED:

Education and Experience: 

  • Two (2) years supervisory experience
  • Two (2) years of casino finance experience


   

Snoqualmie Casino & Hotel exercises Snoqualmie Tribal Member/Native American preference in hiring, in compliance with the Snoqualmie Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO). You must obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Snoqualmie Gaming Commission. Pre-employment drug testing is required for all positions. The use of marijuana will not disqualify an applicant for positions in any department other than Transportation (Valet, Driver I). DOT panel testing is required for the Driver position.
