Introduction

Strategic Purpose

Lead restaurant operations to deliver exceptional dining experiences that exceed guest expectations through outstanding service, culinary excellence, and operational efficiency while embodying the spirit of a true "Host" - creating welcoming and memorable experiences that enhance the overall hotel guest journey.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

  • Oversee all restaurant operations including dining service, kitchen coordination, and guest relations
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards • Monitor inventory levels and manage procurement processes
  • Ensure compliance to all Brand Standards as per SOPs
  • Maintain equipment and facility standards
  • Implement quality control measures
  • Coordinate with hotel departments for seamless guest experience
  • Manage restaurant opening and closing procedures

Staff Leadership

  • Coach, mentor and supervise restaurant staff including assistants, head waiters and service staff
  • Schedule shifts and manage labour costs effectively
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback
  • Implement training programs for service excellence
  • Build and maintain team morale
  • Drive TEAM performance
  • Manage disciplinary actions when necessary
  • Develop succession planning for key positions

Guest Experience

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service
  • Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to maintain menu quality and innovation
  • Monitor dining room ambiance and atmosphere
  • Implement guest feedback systems
  • Ensure personalized service delivery
  • Maintain consistent service standards

Financial Oversight

  • Drive promotions and special events to optimize revenue streams
  • Monitor food and beverage costs
  • Analyse profit and loss statements
  • Implement cost control measures

  • Prepare financial reports
  • Optimize pricing strategies

Marketing & Promotion

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract guests and increase restaurant visibility
  • Organize themed nights, events, and seasonal promotions
  • Collaborate with hotel marketing team
  • Coordinate with sales team for group dining opportunities
  • Create promotional packages
  • Monitor competitor activities

Administrative Management

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Ensure regulatory compliance
  • Prepare operational reports
  • Coordinate maintenance requirements
  • Implement standard operating procedures
  • Monitor health and safety protocols
  • Support audit requirements
