About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant General Manager to lead the daily operations of a high-volume, full-service restaurant located within a luxury New York City hotel. The GM will oversee guest experience, team leadership, financial performance, and alignment with both the restaurant and hotel’s brand standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Guest Experience

  • Lead daily service operations, ensuring seamless execution across breakfast, lunch, dinner, and room-support F&B programs
  • Maintain exceptional guest satisfaction in both hotel and local-market dining
  • Uphold compliance with NYC and hotel brand food safety, DOH, and service guidelines

Leadership & Team Development

  • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing FOH leadership team
  • Partner closely with Executive Chef, hotel F&B leaders, and corporate teams
  • Foster a positive culture rooted in excellence, hospitality, and accountability
  • Manage schedules, performance reviews, training, and labor budgets

Financial & Administrative

  • Oversee P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, and weekly financial reporting
  • Maximize revenue opportunities including hotel partnerships, group dining, and events
  • Control labor, inventory, and COGS while maintaining quality and service standards
  • Manage vendor relationships, purchasing systems, and compliance records

Partnership & Collaboration

  • Work cross-functionally with hotel departments (Front Office, Sales & Events, Housekeeping)
  • Represent the restaurant at property leadership meetings
  • Support hotel activations including VIP experiences, banquets, and special events


Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of General Manager or AGM experience in high-volume NYC restaurants, luxury hotels, or upscale dining environments
  • Strong understanding of NYC dining market and DOH requirements
  • Proven track record of financial accountability and team leadership
  • Experience working within a branded or lifestyle hotel is highly preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with diverse personalities and guest types
