THE TASK AT HAND:


Programming & Promotion:

  • Develop a Programmed Event Management strategy aligned with the brand’s business strategy and lead its execution.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive events and nightlife programming by leveraging the knowledge of entertainment concepts within our competitive set and beyond to create a memorable and unique guest experience.
  • Continuously brainstorm and present programming initiatives to Director of Marketing and management teams for promotional and themed activities to help drive revenue or garner coverage.
  • Maintain continuous contact with neighborhood influencers and tastemakers and keep them informed of the calendar of events.
  • Create relationships with like-minded brands and personalities to establish cross-branding opportunities and activations that are mutually beneficial.
  • Manage programmed event RSVPs.
  • Develop and leverage local networks to bring the right business to the property and establish and maintain high levels of exposure and visibility for the property.
  • Concepting, programming, and running point on key calendar events throughout the year, including but not limited to New Year’s Eve, Valentine’s Day, Pride, Halloween etc.
  • Develop short-term and long-term programming calendars.
  • Manage guest relations and follow-up with DJs, performers, and program partners


Managing Profitability:

  • Encourage calculated risk-taking to generate incremental revenue and deliver excellent guest service.
  • Develop working relationships with outside vendors and establish prices and service agreements to enhance the event experience and increase additional revenue opportunities for the property.
  • Create a programming schedule balancing a mix of events demonstrating long-term return on investment with events showing shorter and quicker turn around on return.
  • Evaluate ongoing programming regularly, evaluate return and long-term potential, and make decisions that add value to the property and brand.
  • Work within designated budgets/trade allocations.
  • Execute and manage contracts with outside vendors.


Administration, Organization, and Communication:

  • Collaborate with third party F&B as needed on events and activations
  • Prioritize tasks and demonstrates effective time management and coordination.
  • Communicate relevant information regularly, efficiently, and concisely to other members of the team and managers, as necessary.
  • Communicate weekly critical information to the restaurant, bar, and hotel staff regarding programmed events.
  •  Compile proactive outreach list and assist in developing collateral for outreach to email database.
  • Coordinate and execute presentations, meetings, property tours, and site inspections prior to critical events, as required.
  • Continue to grow and manage the outreach database.
  • Send weekly updates to executive management on the status of programmed events.
  • Inform and update coworkers and leadership on relevant information promptly.
  • Provide information to supervisors, co-workers, and reports by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
  • Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
  • Work with the property management team (F&B and Operations) on micro and macro levels to review scheduled events and troubleshoot potential challenges/conflicts.
  • Verify that employees understand expectations and parameters concerning programmed events and services.
  • Research and analyze competitive set programming on an ongoing basis.
  • Submit copy and images for programmed event collateral to be used for promotion (internally and externally) with ample time to generate content.
  • Manage collateral approval and social media guidelines for all third-party DJs, musicians, activations, and vendors.
  • Consult with customers and vendors promptly to determine objectives and requirements for all events.
  • Hit deadlines for submitting global calendar copy to the graphics and marketing teams.
  • Ensure event spaces and corresponding back of house areas are cleaned and maintained.


Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service:

  • Create an atmosphere in all event management operations areas that meets or exceeds guest expectations.
  • Create a culture that breeds good old-fashioned customer service and demonstrates a genuine desire to care for people within the department.
  • Implement the brand’s service strategy and applicable brand initiatives in all aspects of the sales and service process and focuses on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable the achievement of sales objectives.
  • Help to establish a positive reputation for Palisociety as a whole and within each restaurant.
  • Represent Palisociety in-person and in all external communication in a positive, professional manner that speaks to our company ethos.

 

Staff Management:

  • Offer help to team members and provide support/advice.
  • Work as an integral part of the wider team.
  • Work with F&B Management to ensure proper staffing for events and activations.
  • Jump in as needed to ensure event prep, guest list management, and guest experience are perfectly executed

 

Effective Decision-Making:

  • Make good decisions based on analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment.
  • Try to consider the bigger picture and be confident as to when and where to seek guidance and clarity from senior members of the team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in cultural and Hospitality management is required.
  • Proven track record in delivering results.
  • Proven track record of building a cohesive team and facilitating goal achievement.
  • Commitment to exceptional on-brand guest service.
  • Strong communication and listening skills, excellent speaking, reading, and writing skills.
  • Aptitude in financial management, financial reports, and analysis.
  • Excellent leadership skills with a hands-on, lead-by-example work style.
  • Lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to walk, stand and bend continuously throughout the day, must be able to stand for long periods of time.
