The PBX Operator ensures smooth communication throughout the hotel, serving as the first point of contact for guests and callers. This role shapes the guest experience and maintains a professional, welcoming environment at all times.
HOW YOU’LL SHAPE THE EXPERIENCE & FUTURE
- Answer and route all incoming, outgoing, and interoffice calls quickly and professionally.
- Provide friendly and accurate telephone and message services to hotel guests and staff.
- Handle all paging and radio communications efficiently.
- Assist with clerical tasks such as filing folios, registration cards, typing, proofreading, and sorting mail.
- Maintain the guest telephone index, tracking checked-in, checked-out, and stay-over guests.
- Record messages and call information, including toll charges, as needed.
- Use systems such as bells or buzzers to alert staff throughout the hotel.
- Other duties as assigned.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
- Experience in guest services or customer-facing roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with telephone operations, switchboards, or clerical tasks is a plus.
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
