Job Title: Pastry Cook
Reports To: Hotel Executive Chef
As a Pastry Cook at our luxury hotel, you will assist in creating high-end, visually stunning, and palate-pleasing pastries, desserts, breads, and confections. Working under the guidance of the Pastry Chef, you will ensure that all items meet our brand's standards for excellence in taste, presentation, and consistency. The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, and passionate about pastry arts.
Prepare and bake pastries, desserts, breads, and specialty items in accordance with daily menus and special event needs.
Follow and maintain precise recipes, portion sizes, and plating standards.
Assist with the development of new menu items and seasonal offerings in collaboration with the Pastry Chef.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment in compliance with hotel standards and local health regulations.
Operate and maintain pastry equipment safely and efficiently.
Work effectively as part of a cohesive culinary team, supporting banquet, � la carte, and in-room dining services.
Ensure proper storage and labeling of ingredients and finished products.
Maintain knowledge of food allergens and dietary restrictions.
Uphold the hotel's brand and reputation through exceptional product quality and service.
Proven experience in a high-end or luxury pastry kitchen (hotel or fine dining preferred).
Culinary degree or formal pastry training is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of baking techniques, flavor profiles, and modern pastry presentation.
Ability to follow detailed instructions, multitask, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.
Flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and early mornings as required.
Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with luxury service standards.
Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a hot kitchen environment.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
Manual dexterity for decorating, shaping, and handling delicate pastry items.
