The Pastry Cook plays a vital role in delivering high-quality baked goods and desserts that enhance the guest dining experience and reflect the culinary excellence of the property. By producing consistently exceptional pastries, breads, and confections, this role supports the hotel's reputation for quality while contributing to guest satisfaction, repeat business, and overall food & beverage success.

HOW YOU'LL SHAPE THE EXPERIENCE & FUTURE

  • Prepare and bake a wide variety of pastries, breads, and desserts in alignment with established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Ensure consistency, quality, and creativity in all menu items to elevate the guest dining experience.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Pastry Chef to introduce new menu items and seasonal offerings.
  • Maintain the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation in all areas of the pastry kitchen.
  • Contribute to efficient kitchen operations by managing time effectively and assisting with inventory, storage, and ordering of pastry-related ingredients.
  • Support the training of culinary team members in pastry techniques and presentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • 1-2 years of prior pastry, baking, or culinary experience in a hotel, resort, or restaurant environment preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with pastry equipment, baking techniques, and decorative presentation skills.

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Formal culinary or pastry arts training from an accredited program preferred.
