We’re looking for a dynamic, hands-on Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our tasting room, restaurant, and hotel — ensuring seamless service, exceptional guest experiences, and strong revenue growth with a focus on wine sales.
Position Overview
The Operations Manager will lead and inspire our hospitality team to deliver top-tier service while meeting sales goals, especially in wine, wine club memberships, and special packages. This role requires a results-driven leader with strong organizational skills, deep hospitality knowledge, and a passion for wine.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Team Development
- Recruit, train, and mentor staff across tasting room, restaurant, and hotel operations.
- Provide ongoing wine and hospitality training to enhance guest experience and sales performance
- Manage schedules, labor costs, and staffing levels for optimal service coverage
- Wine Sales & Revenue Growth
- Drive wine sales by the glass, bottle, and case, as well as wine club memberships.
- Collaborate with marketing on promotions, seasonal releases, and pairing events.
- Set and track sales targets, coaching staff to consistently achieve them.
2. Guest Experience & Service Excellence
- Oversee the guest journey across all departments, ensuring personalized, memorable experiences.
- Handle guest feedback promptly and professionally.
- Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and service quality.
3. Operations & Financial Oversight
- Implement and monitor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Manage inventory for wine, food, and hotel amenities.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and revenue reporting.
- Monitor daily sales performance and reconcile POS reports.
4. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to ABC regulations, health codes, and hospitality laws.
- Maintain safe, efficient, and compliant work environments for staff and guests.
5. Marketing & Event Support
- Partner with the marketing team to promote events, wine releases, and seasonal packages.
- Oversee operational readiness for weddings, private events, and winery festivals.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of management experience in hospitality, preferably in winery, restaurant, or hotel settings.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals, especially in wine sales.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of wine service, wine sales strategies, and food & beverage operations.
- Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
