Operations Manager | Luxury Touring Company | Cape Town
Salary: R45,000 – R50,000 (Negotiable, Dependent on Experience)

Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager for a luxury touring company based in Cape Town. This is a fast-paced and diverse role, ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and is passionate about delivering world-class travel experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management

  • Oversee Adventure Store Manager and Assistants to ensure efficient stock management and tour-readiness.

  • Maintain headquarters in top condition and ensure it remains guest-ready at all times.

  • Implement and continuously improve operational systems and processes.

Storeroom & Equipment Management

  • Ensure touring equipment is in excellent condition and up to company standards.

  • Maintain organization and cleanliness in the store and manage inventory.

  • Ensure three Gourmet Pantries are packed and ready for immediate tour deployment.

  • Handle equipment repairs and sourcing, with procurement approval from senior management.

  • Conduct monthly stock takes and submit timely reports.

Fleet Management

  • Monitor servicing, licensing, and maintenance of all company vehicles.

  • Ensure timely booking and servicing through the Store Manager.

Guide Management

  • Oversee guide allocations through the Guide Logistics Coordinator.

  • Support the Guide Manager in training, development, and well-being of all guides.

  • Manage guide recruitment, onboarding, and scheduling six months in advance.

  • Organize quarterly training sessions and regular guide check-ins.

  • Ensure guides are properly uniformed and presentable.

Event Management

  • Coordinate logistics for Beach Club setups and small onsite events.

  • Manage client and internal event planning and execution.

  • Oversee marketing events to elevate brand visibility and reputation.

Meetings & Reporting

  • Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings with the Store Manager.

  • Hold regular check-ins with senior leadership to discuss operational updates.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Cape Town and surrounding regions.

  • Excellent administrative and computer skills.

  • Highly organized with strong multitasking capabilities.

  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and adaptable.

  • Effective problem-solving skills and ability to perform under pressure.

  • Strong leadership and communication abilities.

  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and implementing operational systems.

  • Confident decision-maker with a collaborative mindset.

  • Willingness to be involved across all areas of the business as needed.
