Night Manager - Polynesian Hotel
Work Location: 1001 S. Ocean Blvd, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577
Job description – The person in this position reports directly to the General Manager and
will be responsible for overseeing hotel operations in the evening hours.
Duties include supervising staff to provide hotel services; implementing and
enforcing procedures necessary for ensuring the safety of guests and their
property; preventive maintenance and quality control for the property (nightly
inspection/security walk); checking in guest; managing paperwork; resolving
customer complaints; and performing other duties as required or assigned.
Full Time - Primarily 2nd shift - (Flexible)
Job responsibilities
include but are not limited to :
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company
standards; anticipate and address guest service needs
- Resolve front desk discrepancies (financial,
reservation, etc.)
- Assist guests in making, changing, and canceling
reservations and registering in/out of the resort
- Work with guests to resolve problems by suggesting and
applying mutually aggregable solutions
- Assist guest in making, changing, and cancelling
reservations
- Provide information regarding resort amenities and
services
- Work with other department to ensure guest requests are
met in a timely manner
- Communicate with the morning staff on any ongoing
business needs from the night shift
- Ensure compliance with Company standards
- Follow all company safety and security policies and
procedures; report any maintenance problems/safety hazards
- Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics which
inspire team members to exceed standards and promote a positive work
environment
- Perform nightly property walks and ensure completion
and distribution of the MOD Report
Requirements :
- Available to work a flexible schedule including weekends and
holidays
- High School Diploma
- Previous front desk / customer service experience
- Managerial experience is preferred
- Excellent leadership, management, and team building skills
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient Computer Skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time
- Valid Driver’s License
- Salary will be based on experience.
