The Massage Therapist provides professional massage therapies and body treatments tailored to individual guest needs, promoting relaxation, pain relief, and overall well-being. This role directly enhances the guest experience and contributes to the spa's reputation for excellence.
HOW YOU'LL SHAPE THE EXPERIENCE & FUTURE
- Deliver massage services using appropriate techniques, props, and products.
- Provide body treatments, including scrubs, wraps, and hydrotherapy, while assessing guest needs and contraindications (e.g., allergies, high blood pressure, pregnancy).
- Stay current with industry techniques and modalities.
- Escort guests to and from treatment rooms, ensuring comfort and professionalism.
- Prepare workstations and treatment rooms with necessary supplies and equipment.
- Regularly check in with guests to ensure comfort, safety, and satisfaction throughout treatments.
- Promote and sell spa services and retail products.
- Clean, maintain, and sterilize tools and maintain cleanliness of treatment rooms.
- Monitor schedules and adhere to allotted treatment times.
- Handle inappropriate guest behavior by following standard operating procedures and notifying supervisors as needed.
- Maintain current skills and state licensure as required by regional regulations.
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management; complete required safety training and certifications.
