SUMMARY
The Marketing Coordinator ("Coordinador de Marketing") will assist marketing team members to maximize the hotels’ positive exposure in local, national and international markets by engaging key audiences across various platforms for each property.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Supports the development and implementation of marketing strategies based on leadership requests and communications objectives.
  • Coordinates and arranges familiarization tours (FAMs) and site inspection trips with media clients.
  • Maintains and updates event listings on third-party websites.
  • Organizes, scans, and archives PR editorials and earned media coverage for all properties and outlets.
  • Processes media and advertisement contracts in a timely and organized manner.
  • Maintains and files print collateral in office archive books.
  • Assist in the organization and filing of all print collateral in the office archive books.
  • Keep track of inventory of all collateral for all of Evans entities that is printed through the marketing office.
  • Supports the Marketing Department in scheduling and execution of all print marketing projects and hotel collateral.
  • Completes all necessary reports and deliverables as requested by leadership according to established deadlines.
  • Coordinate the ordering and delivery of offline marketing materials.
  • Maintains excellent interpersonal relationship skills with a professional approach to both internal and external customers.
  • Participates in practicing safety behavior on and off property and during work hours.
  • Assist with other projects in support of the Marketing Department as needed.
  • Provide general office support to the marketing department with phone coverage and ordering of office supplies.
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the leadership team.

Qualifications


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or equivalent from a four-year college or university.
  • At least 1-2 years of relevant experience and/or training.
  • A combination of experience, education, and/or training may be substituted for either requirement.
  • Previous similar position in a hotel or similar industry is a plus.
  • Availability to work on weekends and holidays is required.
  • Ability to always maintain a friendly, professional, team-oriented, positive demeanor and diplomatic attitude, especially under stress or challenges.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • The following position will be filled in accordance with the process set forth in California Labor Code Section 2810.8 and San Diego Municipal Code 311.0101 et. seq.
