At The Prince George Hotel, we’re looking for a skilled and motivated Maintenance Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations and long-term upkeep of our hotel’s infrastructure. In this critical leadership role, you’ll ensure that every system, from HVAC to elevators, from plumbing to pool — is safe, functional, and guest-ready.

Key Responsibilities:
- Direct the maintenance and repair of the Hotel's machinery, equipment, electrical and mechanical systems
- Develop and implement schedules and procedures for safety inspections and preventive maintenance programs
- Coordinate cleaning, snow removal and landscaping operations
- Administer contracts for the provision of supplies and services
- Plan and manage a facility's maintenance budget
- Hire and oversee training and supervision of staff.
- Seeking a mature, energetic and experienced building engineer to oversee the maintenance activity of a 4 Diamond Hotel.
- Successful candidate will be responsible for directing, managing and developing teams of maintenance workers.
- Responsible for maintaining the structural integrity of building exteriors, and the complete operation of all mechanical and electrical equipment – including but not limited to: Boilers, pumps, HVAC motors, refrigeration, and all fire and life safety systems to ensure the smooth operation and avoidance of major expenses on breakdowns by continuous maintenance and monitoring of all mechanical systems.
- Coordinate the implementation of the Hotels Capital Projects and Preventative Maintenance Programs
- Perform auxiliary tasks when required and execute any reasonable additional assignments determined by management and guests.
- Willingness to upgrade skill levels through continuous training and offered courses (both internal and external), to enhance knowledge of existing and new maintenance procedures.
- Ensure the smooth operation and avoidance of major expenses on breakdowns by continuous maintenance and monitoring of all mechanical systems.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a college or university program in electrical or mechanical engineering or in another discipline related to building maintenance or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience in building maintenance.
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience in facility operations or maintenance are required
- Strong working knowledge of building systems and facility operations

Certifications in trades (electrical, HVAC, plumbing) are a strong asset
