Maintenance Attendant
Job Summary:
This position requires a technically focused, detail orientated team player who can operate under pressure to carry out all day-to-day maintenance of the Lodge.
Organisational Positioning:
· Department: Maintenance
· Reporting to: Assistant Maintenance & Grounds Manager
· Location: Bushmans Kloof Wilderness Reserve and Wellness Retreat
Minimum Experience or Qualification:
· Grade 12.
· At least 2 years’ experience as a handyman / Maintenance Attendant
· Basic electrical , carpentry and painting experience
· Previous painting experience advantageous
· Previous work in a Hotel / Lodge environment advantageous
· Must be able to work flexible hours including week-end, public holidays, night shifts
· Presentable and well-mannered
· Good command of the English language
Key Performance Objectives:
· To perform general maintenance duties and checks in and around the Lodge as per the Maintenance plan of the Lodge and as per the décor standards a set out by the owners.
· To ensure that all paint and consumable are used in an efficient manner keeping wastage to a minimum in accordance with Lodge’s SOPs.
· To maintain all areas in a clean, tidy and neat manner, presentable to guests.
· When needed to assist with general maintenance in and around the Lodge including tiling and plastering.
