The Laundry Manager will successfully operate a full-service laundry efficiently within the parameters of the organization, ensuring linens and uniforms are cleaned, pressed, and ready for use, in addition to maintaining a safe environment. Will manage staff, maintain equipment, handle inventory, and promote cost control and safety protocols.
HOW YOU’LL SHAPE THE EXPERIENCE & FUTURE
- Responsible for the efficient running of the department in line with the strategies and brand standards of the hotel, whilst meeting employee, guest, and owner expectations.
- To ensure the smooth operation of the laundry department in Rooms Division, which includes the area of laundry, dry cleaning, and the uniform room.
- Adapt and react to emergency linen and/or uniform needs.
- Plan and anticipate business needs by reading and interpreting daily a/ weekly occupancy report.
- Developing and putting into operation the current system and technical advancement in the field of Laundry operations.
- Formulating washing formula for stained loads.
- Ensuring the washing of linen and uniform as per quality standards.
- Maintenance and upkeep of all laundry equipment.
- Co-ordinating routine maintenance of equipment with the Engineering Department and arranging for repairs as needed.
- Training and coordination with supporting Departments.
- Create weekly laundry department schedule.
- Plan and evaluate for uniform replacement needs.
- Track linen and uniform inventory, order supplies, and manage stock levels.
- Record and monitor laundry inventory and cost. Create reports as needed.
- Interdepartmental collaboration to meet their laundry needs.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain material data sheets for chemicals used in Laundry.
- Other duties as assigned.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 2 years of Laundry leadership and Laundry operations experience
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
- College Education desired.
- Minimum High school diploma, GED
