The Laundry Attendant is responsible for maintaining efficient and high-quality laundry operations, ensuring all linens and guest items are clean, organized, and readily available. This role directly impacts guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and the overall appearance and hygiene of the property.

HOW YOU’LL SHAPE THE EXPERIENCE & FUTURE

  • Operate washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment according to established procedures.
  • Load articles into washers with the correct amount of detergent or cleaning agent and start washing cycles.
  • Transfer washed items to dryers or wringers and ensure proper drying times.
  • Sort, fold, and organize laundry items according to type or identification number.
  • Iron table linens and other designated items to maintain high presentation standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and functionality of laundry equipment, lubricating and servicing machines as needed.
  • Take initiative to greet guests warmly and professionally when encountered.
  • Ability to perform job-related physical activities, including standing or sitting for extended periods, lifting and carrying items as needed, and performing movements such as bending, twisting, and reaching to effectively complete duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in laundry or housekeeping operations is a plus but not required.
  • Familiarity with operating washers, dryers, and ironing equipment is beneficial.

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • On-the-job training provided to ensure proper handling of equipment and linens.
