The Jr. Systems Administrator supports the maintenance, upgrade, and troubleshooting of a wide range of IT infrastructure, including the Infogenisis POS system, Exchange environments, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and various casino network components such as firewalls, VPNs, and routers. They assist in monitoring network health using tools like SolarWinds and Splunk, contribute to resolving network and server stack issues, and support Office 365 operations. Working closely with vendors, the administrator helps develop and implement system solutions within a Nutanix and VMware virtual environment, while managing backup systems to meet RPO and RTO standards. Responsibilities also include scripting with PowerShell, maintaining antivirus and security protocols, configuring network switches, and supporting sports wagering systems. This role may also involve fulfilling IT Technician III duties and other assignments as needed.

The Jr. Systems Administrator demonstrates strong knowledge of binary and hexadecimal math, multiple operating systems including Linux/Unix, macOS, and mobile platforms, as well as gaming server and network security, enterprise software, and system integration. They are well-versed in Tribal-State Compact regulations, Tribal Gaming procedures, federal IT regulations, and the operational demands of a 24/7 environment. Skilled in the use of computers and related software, they excel in customer service, communication, recordkeeping, and database administration, while also bringing a high level of organization to workflow and procedural development. This role requires the ability to install, configure, test, and maintain a range of systems and networks, coordinate upgrades across departments, ensure vendor compliance, and manage multiple tasks under pressure—all while maintaining strict confidentiality and providing guidance to others as needed.
