Job Summary: | Inspect hotel rooms, public area and linen room to ensure the highest quality of cleanliness and organization. Schedule employees. Schedule preventive maintenance & deep cleaning for hotel rooms. Monitor inventories & order when necessary. Keep track of all payables for the housekeeping department. Support all hotel employees to help ensure guest satisfaction. Conduct laboratory teaching opportunities in housekeeping for Hotel and Tourism Management students. Daily contact with faculty, staff, students, OSU dignitaries, hotel guests, alums and donors. Able to lift 50lb. |

Education & Experience | |
Position Qualifications: | Required Qualifications: High School/GED One year of related experience. Demonstrated ability to interact professionally with faculty, staff, students, and hotel guests, maintaining a strong service-oriented attitude. Proven interpersonal skills with a friendly, tactful, and collaborative approach to working with diverse individuals. Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to assess situations quickly and implement effective solutions to prevent or mitigate issues. Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously. Preferred Qualifications: One year of experience in a lead housekeeping role. |
