Employment Type: Full-Time-$17.00 per hour
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily activities of the housekeeping staff to ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and appearance standards are maintained in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas at The Federal Hotel. This role ensures the highest level of cleanliness and guest satisfaction, while also supporting team development and efficient operations.
Supervise and coordinate the activities of room attendants, public area cleaners, and other housekeeping personnel.
Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas regularly to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
Train new housekeeping staff on procedures, safety protocols, and customer service expectations.
Prepare work schedules, assign duties, and monitor attendance and performance.
Report maintenance issues and follow up to ensure timely resolution.
Ensure proper use of cleaning materials, equipment, and supplies.
Handle guest complaints and requests in a timely and professional manner.
Maintain inventory of linen, cleaning supplies, and uniforms; request stock when needed.
Conduct daily briefings and communicate effectively with the team and management.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Proven experience in housekeeping, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality service.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemicals, and equipment.
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as needed.
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in hospitality is a plus.
