Job Description and Physical Requirements
 
Position Title: Housekeeper
FLSA Status: Hourly Non-Exempt
Reports To: Housekeeping Supervisor 
Supervisory Status: Non-Supervisory
Department: 465 – Housekeeping 
Pay: $16.00 per hour plus tips
 
Tip Procedure All received tips are taxed on an ACTUAL basis and must be reported at the end of each shift.  
Minimum Qualifications: Team members and candidates must meet the minimum qualifications to be considered for this specific position: 
 
General cleaning/housekeeping experience preferred (both professional/non-professional experience eligible)
General understanding of chemical safety. 
Ability to communicate effectively with other team members and guests. 
Must practice and demonstrate outstanding guest service, in specific but not limited to, the ability to remain calm and act professionally towards irate guests. 
Must maintain a high level of attention to detail, including while performing multiple tasks at one time (“multitasking”).
Must have a flexible work schedule that allows for the ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays. 
Essential Duties: Team members and candidates must be able to perform the following duties with or without a reasonable accommodation: 
 
Conduct cleaning and sanitizing measures for all rooms including balconies, after check-outs, and check-ins. 
Assist Laundry Attendants in washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and towels. 
Restock all available items in each room when vacated. 
Ensure rooms meet all standards that of the Company and Choice Brand Standards. 
Report unsafe hotel rooms, broken equipment, and other general maintenance requirements timely and communicate with management to report rooms ineligible to fill. 
Remove all trash and debris from the hallways and rooms on a daily basis. 
Remove and replace linens and towels in occupied hotel rooms on a daily basis – provide extra linens as requested. 
Required to assist in the disassembly process of furniture to conduct deep cleaning procedures such as shampooing carpet flooring and furniture.
Assist with guest complaints and if needed, communicate with other team members to ensure the complaints are addressed timely and effectively. 
Complete other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management and leadership teams, including tasks that may not be assigned though required to perform and complete to ensure business success.
