Introduction

We are seeking a professional and guest-focused Receptionist with hotel experience to join our front office team. The Receptionist will be responsible for welcoming guests, managing check-ins and check-outs, handling reservations, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Proficiency in OPERA or PSM property management systems is essential for success in this role.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Welcome and assist guests during check-in and check-out processes.

  • Manage reservations, cancellations, and room allocations using OPERA or PSM systems.

  • Handle guest enquiries and requests efficiently and professionally.

  • Ensure guest accounts are accurate and all billing is processed correctly.

  • Maintain front desk area in a neat and professional manner.

  • Apply company policies and procedures during all guest interactions.

  • Liaise with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest requests and room readiness.

  • Answer telephone calls, handle emails, and respond to guest inquiries promptly.

  • Maintain accurate records of guest information and transactions.

  • Assist in daily reporting and front office administrative duties.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Proven hotel reception/front desk experience.

  • Proficiency in OPERA or PSM property management systems is essential.

  • Excellent guest service, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

  • Good numerical and computer skills.

  • Matric (Grade 12) required; hospitality qualification is an advantage.

  • Previous experience in a hotel front desk role is essential.

Package & Remuneration

R7000 monthly.
