Introduction
A 5* Hotel located along the KZN North Coast is seeking a qualified and experienced Hotel Manager with Business Acumen, ultimately responsible for all aspects of hotel operations. To act as the ambassador of the Hotel Brand and actively living the company mission and values of exceeding all "Service Standards", leading the hotels' senior management team in meetings, set business targets and delivering exceptional guest service.
Duties & Responsibilities
Proven Experience in hotel management within a luxury hospitality environment:
*Optimize overall "Guest Experience" - deliver on all expectations and customer service levels;
*Team Leadership / Team Management - to achieve the highest level of performance and excellence via fostering positive working relationships with all staff, performance manage/appraisals, staff development, mentoring ,coaching, succession planning and day-to-day staffing re operational requirements;
* Hotel Operations - executive level responsibility from guest interaction, problem solving, OHS, maintenance, room checks, food and beverage QC etc. i.e. ensure Hotel operating at optimal efficiency across all departments to deliver a seamless and effortless guest experience.
*Financial Responsibilty - actively analyse financial and economic data to manage risks and proactively enhance profitability (cost management, revenue management, profitability measures, ROI, budgets etc.) Understand, analyze, and navigate business situations to achieve positive outcomes.
Desired Experience & Qualifications include:
*Degree or equivalent qualification.
*5 Years Hotel Manager experience (min. 3 years at Executive Management level)
*Proven track record of success and experience in a Hotel Manager role in other luxury establishments (financial acumen and operational expertise).
*5 Years Room Management in a 5* Hotel.
*5 Years Food & Beverage experience in a 5* Hotel.
*Computer Literacy (MS Offcie Suite).
*Working knowledge of Micros / Opera.
*Proven success of guest interaction and service recovery (a passion for delivering exceptional experiences).
*Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (English).
*Hotel Team Leadership proficiency and experience.
