The Role
The Hotel Financial Manager will be responsible for managing all financial operations of Hilton Kinshasa, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with the hotel’s financial goals. This role is vital in supporting the General Manager and leadership team by providing detailed financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting that drives strategic business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the hotel’s financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis.
- Oversee accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, local regulations, and brand financial policies.
- Develop and monitor internal controls to safeguard hotel assets and financial integrity.
- Collaborate closely with department heads to manage costs, improve profitability, and optimize financial performance.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for senior management, ownership and to Valor head office.
- Lead financial audits and liaise with external auditors and tax authorities.
- Train, mentor, and develop the finance team to deliver high-quality financial services.
- Support capital expenditure planning and cash flow management.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic planning and operational improvements.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in hotel financial management within international branded hotels as a Financial Manager or Director of Finance in hotels 100 rooms and more.
- Strong knowledge of hospitality accounting principles, financial systems, and reporting standards.
- Proficiency in SUN accounting software is essential.
- Experience with Opera Property Management and Micros Materials Control systems is essential.
- Experience working in Africa is highly advantageous.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to lead and develop finance teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English and French is mandatory.
- Degree or relevant professional qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Hospitality Management.
Additional Information for Applicants
- Single status application. Package is net US Dollars market-related and will be discussed during the shortlist stage.
- Contract: 1-year contract, renewable for a second year.
