This is a dynamic, hands-on service role where you will serve food and beverage items to customers in a friendly, enthusiastic, professional, and timely manner. You are key to ensuring operational efficiency and a positive dining experience, demonstrating your ability to celebrate our value to "Do the Right Thing."
As our Breakfast Attendant, you are the reliable center of our morning service, responsible for guest satisfaction, accurate service, and maintaining the dining area.
Essential Tasks Include:
Service Excellence & Salesmanship: Take orders for and serve all food and beverage requests, using suggestive selling techniques when appropriate. Clear tables during service. Provide direct service to guests as needed, including busing tables and seating guests.
Financial & Clerical Duties: Control guest checks and secure proper payment, including performing general clerical/cashier duties.
Station Maintenance & Cleanliness: Ensure station and table set-ups are complete and perform various side duties as assigned by the Outlet Supervisor. Maintain proper condition and cleanliness of dining areas and servicing equipment.
Compliance & Certifications: Food Handling Certification is required. A Nevada Alcohol Card is required (if applicable) for serving any alcoholic beverages.
Attendance & Reliability: Regular attendance is essential to performance. Due to the cyclical nature of the industry, you must be prepared to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. Full compliance with Sandpiper Hospitality/Courtyard Reno rules and regulations is mandatory.
This position requires stamina and the ability to maintain a fast pace throughout the service period:
Mobility: Position requires frequent walking and the ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4 hours in length. Must be able to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously in limited space.
Environment: Most work is performed indoors in moderate, controlled temperatures, though you must be able to work in extreme temperatures like freezers (-10°F) and kitchens (+110°F) for periods of time.
