JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists with a variety of dining outlet functions to include bussing and cleaning of tables, delivering and presenting food and beverage to guests.
- Mix and serve drinks following specified recipes.
- Maintain complete knowledge of all food and beverage menu items, liquor brands, beer, and non-alcoholic selections available within the outlet.
- Working knowledge of designated glassware, ingredients, preparation method and garnishes of each drink.
- Maintain an orderly and clean bar and dining room , including, but not limited to, bar surface, draught area, coolers, wells, sinks, mixing materials, server area and lounge.
- Maintain product inventory and supplies including all liquors, beers, wines, mixes, garnishes, glassware, ice, and miscellaneous bar supplies throughout shift.
- Identifies opportunities to upsell and influences guest’s decisions through product knowledge and enthusiasm for the sale.
- Make sure all ashtrays are clean and empty throughout entire shift.
- Ensure receipt of accurate payments, balance cash drawer during shift, and maintain security and accuracy of bank.
- Interacts with guests in a friendly manner while taking food and beverage orders, to include up-selling.
- Maintains assigned areas by keeping them clean and free of debris throughout the shift.
- Ensure the service area is properly set up at the beginning of the shift and close the service area at the end of the shift in accordance with Company standards.
- Maintain regular attendance at scheduled shift and staff meetings.
- Consistently uses all food and beverage and bar equipment, cleaning, and sanitizing products in accordance with all SDS sheets and departmental standards.

- Proactively seeks guest opportunities and anticipates guest’s needs to create “magical moments”.
- To provide BIG Service to internal and external guests and ensure their complete satisfaction, inclusive of greeting and interacting with guests in a friendly and enthusiastic manner, anticipating and meeting guest needs and preferences, remaining calm and professional when dealing with guests that are difficult or upset.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred.
- Must be 20 + 1-day years of age or older.
- Must pass all required pre-screening and background checks.
- Internal candidates must meet the eligibility requirements as provided in the Transfer and Promotion policy.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, this includes day, swing, late-night, weekend, and holiday shifts as scheduled.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.
- Must be able to obtain and provide STAR Certification prior to start date.
