The Front Desk Agent serves as the first point of contact for guests and is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, checking guests in and out, handling reservations, and addressing guest inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival.
Perform check-in and check-out procedures accurately.
Manage phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries.
Take, modify, and cancel reservations using the property management system (PMS).
Provide guests with information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and directions.
Handle guest requests and resolve complaints efficiently and professionally.
Process payments and verify methods of payment.
Ensure accurate billing and maintain guest folios.
Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable front desk and lobby area.
Follow hotel procedures for handling lost and found, security, and emergencies.
Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure guest satisfaction.
Assist with laundry and general hotel cleanliness as needed.
Complete end-of-shift reports and communicate relevant information to the next shift.
High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or customer service experience preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in using computers and hotel reservation systems.
Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
