Group Portfolio Financial Controller - Hotel and Leisure sector

Join our dynamic team as Group Portfolio Company Financial Controller, where you’ll play a pivotal role in overseeing finance, tax, audit, cash management, and risk for a diverse portfolio of hotel and property companies across Africa. Our client is an investor in the sector across Africa and this finance role plays part in the commercial management and development of their business.

Reports to: Chief Financial Officer

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and mentor a small team of Portfolio Accountants tracking the business performance and setting capital expenditure to develop these assets
• Oversee accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong financial controls.
• Manage consolidated reporting, statutory compliance, and lender requirements.
• Coordinate audits, tax filings (including transfer pricing), and treasury management.
• Implement governance, controls, and risk management frameworks.
• Collaborate with hotel finance teams, operators, and external advisors.

What We’re Looking For:

Professional Accounting Degree

10+ years’ experience in finance leadership, preferably in hospitality or African markets.

Strong knowledge of USALI principles (advantageous).

Fluent in French (preferable) and English.

Proven ability to manage teams and work in complex, fast-moving environments.
