At Mission Point Resort, our grounds and outdoor spaces are essential to creating the warm, welcoming atmosphere guests love. As Mackinac Island’s only full-service, casually elegant resort, we are seeking a skilled and dependable Resort Groundskeeper to help maintain the beauty, cleanliness, and charm of our resort property.

About the Role

The Resort Groundskeeper plays a hands-on role in maintaining all exterior areas of the resort. This includes landscaping care, lawn and garden maintenance, outdoor cleanliness, and basic upkeep of walkways, patios, and public outdoor spaces.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in maintaining high standards of appearance, and contributes to creating memorable guest experiences through exceptional grounds care.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: Previous landscaping, groundskeeping, or outdoor maintenance experience preferred
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Outdoor Skills: Knowledge of basic plant care, landscaping tools, and grounds/gardens maintenance techniques
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work on your feet, and perform outdoor tasks in varied weather conditions
• Professional Traits: Strong work ethic, attention to detail, reliability, and pride in craftsmanship
• Communication: Ability to follow instructions and communicate needs clearly
• Teamwork: Comfortable working in a diverse, multicultural team environment
• Location Requirement: Must be able to live and work on Mackinac Island during the season
