Front of House Manager The Strand / Canopy by Hilton Hotel

Our in-house restaurant The Strand offers a modern, relaxed vibe, and attentive hospitality. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Front of House Manager to lead our restaurant team and uphold the standards our guests have come to expect.

Job Summary:
As Front of House Manager, you will be the face of our restaurant. You’ll lead by example, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, providing excellent service to guests, and managing and motivating your team. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily front-of-house operations, ensuring excellent customer service at all times

• Manage, train, and motivate FOH staff, including servers, hosts, and bartenders

• Schedule staff and manage labor costs efficiently

• Liaise with kitchen and hotel management to ensure seamless communication

• Handle all ordering for the bar

• Handle guest feedback and resolve complaints professionally

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the dining area

• Calculate tip outs for servers, bartenders, and hosts weekly

  Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and performance reviews

  Update POS Oracle Symphony when necessary 

  
  

  
  

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a similar FOH management role, preferably in a hotel or upscale restaurant

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Strong leadership abilities and a hands-on management style

• Passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding service

• Knowledge of POS systems and reservation platforms

• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Desirable:

• Hospitality or business management qualification

• First Aid and/or Food Safety certification

• Experience with events or private dining coordination
