The Food & Beverage Manager oversees all restaurant operations at Seven Grille. This role requires schedule flexibility, as the manager will lead and support all food and beverage shifts, including weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise front-of-house restaurant staff, ensuring a polished, welcoming guest experience
- Recruit, train, and schedule team members for optimal coverage and service quality
- Deliver exceptional hospitality and maintain high standards of customer service
- Manage POS operations, oversee daily cash handling, and ensure financial accuracy
- Monitor inventory levels for food, beverages, and supplies; coordinate with kitchen and bar teams
- Maintain cleanliness and uphold health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Plan and support in-house events (e.g., wine dinners, live music, holiday specials)
- Respond to guest inquiries and feedback with professionalism and efficiency
- Collaborate with marketing to promote specials, events, and seasonal menu features
- Ensure all team members are knowledgeable about menu offerings, ingredients, and Seven Grille’s brand story
- Uphold the restaurant’s culture, brand standards, and commitment to the local community
Essential Functions
- Lead and manage the full administration of the Food & Beverage Team at Seven Grille to align with the strategic goals and daily operational needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor schedules to maximize efficiency, profitability, and guest satisfaction
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members; manage daily coaching, counseling, and discipline to maintain high performance and compliance with company standards
- Mentor supervisors in effective leadership practices, including performance evaluations, professional development, and enforcement of employment policies
- Plan and deliver a robust training and development program to ensure well-trained, guest-focused staff at all levels; encourage and support career advancement for qualified team members
- Monitor and elevate the guest experience, ensuring service excellence through regular audits, feedback, and proactive improvements
- Achieve Food & Beverage financial targets by monitoring budgets, controlling costs, analyzing variances, and implementing corrective measures when necessary
Qualifications
- Some college coursework and/or advanced training in Food & Beverage management preferred
- 2–3 years of Food & Beverage management experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting, with supervisory responsibilities
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Alcohol Awareness Certification and/or valid health/food handler card as required by local regulations
