Job Description

Mondrian Singapore Duxton is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations of the hotel. This role is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will bring strong financial acumen and a passion for hospitality, playing a key role in supporting the hotel’s financial health and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Prepare and manage annual budgets and monthly forecasts
  • Analyze financial statements, variances, and operational trends
  • Provide strategic recommendations to improve profitability

Accounting & Reporting

  • Supervise day-to-day accounting operations, including AP/AR, payroll, and ledger maintenance
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closings
  • Prepare financial reports for hotel ownership and corporate leadership

Compliance & Controls

  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, accounting standards, and internal control procedures
  • Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits
  • Implement and monitor hotel financial policies and procedures

Team Management

  • Lead and develop the hotel finance team, fostering a culture of integrity and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with department heads to control costs and optimize financial performance

Cash Flow & Asset Management

  • Monitor cash flow and working capital
  • Manage bank relationships and oversee cash handling procedures
  • Safeguard the hotel's financial assets

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
    • CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification is a plus
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in hotel finance or hospitality accounting
    • Strong knowledge of hotel operating systems (e.g., Opera, Micros, SunSystems, or similar)
    • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel
    • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
